José E. Sarria, MD

Founder

Dr. Sarria has spent his career addressing cases of complicated and chronic pain. Before 2014, when he opened his own medical practice, he spent a decade as Chief of the Interventional Pain Medicine Service at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida where he remains an Assistant Member. Dr. Sarria is also a current Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in the departments of Oncologic Sciences and Neurology.

Dr. Sarria takes great pride in not just the outcomes achieved at The Aspire Pain Relief Institute but the processes and culture shared by his entire team. They abide by the four principles of effective pain management care: Compassion, Knowledge, Awareness and Value. At Aspire, the doctors don’t make promises they can’t keep but they are committed to working with every patient to find a solution for their pain.

Mohammed Omar, MD

Pain Management Physician

Mohammed Omar, MD is a highly skilled Pain Management Physician dedicated to providing comprehensive pain management services in Tampa, Florida. His exceptional qualifications include completing his Residency training at the renowned Boston University, followed by an ACGME accredited Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at the distinguished University of South Florida program.

With a wealth of experience gained from working at esteemed institutions such as the Moffitt Cancer Center, Veterans Affairs, and Tampa General Hospital, Dr. Omar brings a variety of knowledge and expertise to the Aspire team. His approach to patient care is characterized by a multi-modal strategy, which incorporates the use of medications, physical therapy, and state-of-the-art procedures. Whether it’s in-office treatments or surgical interventions at specialized centers, Dr. Omar is committed to employing the most advanced and effective methods to manage and alleviate his patients’ pain.

Beyond his professional expertise, Dr. Omar places great emphasis on compassion and actively listening to his patients. He believes in building a collaborative relationship with each individual to understand their unique needs and goals, working together to achieve optimal pain relief and improve their overall quality of life.
